Below is a picture of a new fence being stained with acrylic/alkyd an excellent wood preservative.

it. Right picture is the fence after pressure cleaning aka power washing to remove the fungus and dirt, the
bottom picture is the finished product, cleaned and sealed, with both side waterproofed the owners
should get several more years out of it, the same process also works with wood decks.
